In the world of rail simulation, the London–Faversham High Speed corridor is a fan favorite for its unique “dual-personality” gameplay. It forces drivers to master two completely different worlds: the 140mph (225km/h) “flyer” section from London St Pancras and the slower, more tactical third-rail commuter network through Kent.
📍 Comparing the Platforms
As of December 2025, you have two distinct ways to experience this route depending on whether you prefer the “Digital Model Railway” feel of Classic or the immersive “First-Person” world of TSW.

| Key Trains | Class 395, Class 375 | Class 395, 375, 465, and 66 |

🚆 Technical Highlights
- The Power Swap: One of the most satisfying technical challenges occurs at Ebbsfleet International. You must switch the Class 395 “Javelin” from overhead AC power to the 750V DC third-rail system while on the move—failing to time this correctly will result in a total loss of power (a “dead ship”).
- The Signaling Gap: On the high-speed section, you rely on TVM430, a “cab-signaling” system where your target speed is displayed on the dashboard rather than on trackside poles. Once you hit the classic line toward Faversham, you transition back to traditional visual color-light signals.
- Station Fidelity: Both versions feature a stunning recreation of London St Pancras International, though the 2025 TSW update adds functional platform announcements and a “Conductor Mode” for checking tickets.
🛍️ 2025 Buying Guide
